It's been a Long Time

Last weekend I attended my 10 year high school reunion in Boonville! It's hard to imagine it's been 10 years. It was so great seeing everyone and having a chance to catch up. Boonville the town seems very different to me, but the people are the fun people I remember!

Last week, we ate at a local brunch place, Succotash at 2601 Holmes. The food and decor was very eclectic. They have a crazy big painting of one of the employees. They also had this picture of the building back in the 1920's, when it was a general goods store:

Bree's happy face pancakes

My burrito of love :) ( A little burnt on one end but still good!)
Have I ever mentioned how awesome my small group is? It's the best! Last Wednesday, Ali graciously invited us to her house for dinner before group. It was delicious!

Fountain update:

No. 70- Longwood subdivision on College in Overland Park

No. 71- another fountain at the entrance of Longwood

No. 72- Merrill Lynch building on College in Leawood

No. 73- residence at Red Bridge and Wornall
Not much else going on...looking forward to a 3-day holiday weekend. Happy Fourth of July everyone! Go USA!

Hosmer Thrills

Last Saturday, being the true Royals fans that we are, Jessica and I drove over to the K and got an autograph from first baseman, Eric Hosmer! It was pretty amazing.

Oh yeah, check out how happy he is to see me!

Signing Jessica's baseball.

Our first glimpse of him while waiting in line. The guy signs fast- around 300 people in one hour!

It was a fun event! Now if only Escobar would have a signing, I'd camp out!!
Speaking of Escobar, on Wednesday, our small group went to the Royals game. We had a great time! Towards the end of the game, Escobar was at bat and fouled the ball. The ball came flying to us, up on the third level and came right towards Lisa and I! I started screaming and getting out of the way, because I am in no condition to catch any baseballs! The ball hit my chair, then hit my leg and calf and bounced away. Some punk kid took the ball but the main thing is to realize that Escobar's foul ball hit me! It's a sign I tell you! Escobar and I are meant to be.

The other thing that I am meant to be with are the cherry limeades from Topsy's. They are SO GOOD. They can be found at Kauffman Stadium for $5 and it is worth EVERY PENNY.

Another fun event last weekend was the Mumford & Sons show at City Market! The opening band was Cake, who is a fav of mine from waaaay back in the day!

Awesome show!
Here's a picture of Josie in the cute high-chair, given to her by her favorite aunt Laura! :)

She's getting so big and eating real food now!

Here are a couple of fountains that are close to my work in Lenexa/Olathe:

The past two weeks have been so busy- I haven't been home at all. Itsa is probably so lonely! It's also crazy to think that CMA Fest 2011 is going on right now and I don't have to deal with it at all! And if it weren't for a few people from Nashville talking about it, I would not even know it existed. That is how far off my radar it is.
